Erika was going to tell the story of when we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC earlier this year, had a great time, but came back to a flooded apartment (it was an accident!) She lost the compulsion to tell the story, though, as it is sort of long and she was too busy cutting and eating the cake. Anyway, cherry blossoms representin'!

We've hardly been back home, but the first thing we'd like to do is thank all of our wonderful guests for sacrificing their time and personal lives to come out to Vegas just for little ol' us. Most importantly we'd like to thank Erika's mom and Terry for doing such an amazing job on the reception, not to mention taking care of so many extras and working harder than anybody else to pull off the best Vegas wedding ever! Also a big thanks to Erika's grandparents for helping us pick up some major tabs and hosting us while we were in Colorado. Of course, we wish Sasa's family could have been there, but we thank them very much for being so supportive and thoughtful of us. We look forward to visiting Serbia soon for some quality time! One last thanks to everyone who wished us well and wanted to be there. It means a lot that so many people were thinking of us.

Update

The time is swiftly approaching when we'll be playing blackjack and hanging out with Elvis! For those of you who do not know the fine points of our itinerary, we will be leaving Baltimore on Tuesday the 28th and staying in Vegas until August 3rd. From there, we will take a mini roadtrip via rental car to the Grand Canyon and then up to Colorado. We will then fly from Colorado Springs to Baltimore on August 7. We're charging our camera batteries and are really looking forward to seeing everybody!

In case you're wondering

We will be staying in Las Vegas from July 28 to August 2 at the Flamingo, which we are very excited about, because Baltimore likes flamingos too!

The invitations are out, and we're awaiting your RSVPs! Please let us know by June 15 if you will be able to attend, and if you'll be bringing a guest. We would love to see you there!

For those of you who are not able to attend, there will be a live feed of our wedding online at http://webcasting.cashmanpro.com/shalimar. Click on the link on July 31st, 7pm pacific time, 10pm eastern to watch. The recording will still be available for a couple of days after the ceremony, so watch when you can!

Reception

In case you're wondering, we've determined that the reception will be held at an Italian restaurant at the Venetian hotel, the Canaletto. This lovely establishment should provide the perfect ending to a rockin' Elvis evening.

Originally, we were going to have the wedding reception in Colorado Springs. But then we thought about it some more, and decided to do the whole shebang in Las Vegas. There is something for everyone in Vegas, and it's easy to access from almost anywhere. Ask the maid of honor, she found a non-stop flight from Seoul! Also, there are a wide range of hotel options that should fit a variety of budgets and tastes. As of right now, we don't have any hotel recommendations in particular, as we're sure you either have your favorites or will find them. We do suggest booking the hotel and flight together, and try to find something on the strip. The chapel is located a little off this map, north of the Stratosphere, and the reception will most likely be at Ballys.

Welcome to our Blog!

We created this blog to keep you updated on our very exciting lives. You can count on up-to-the-minute wedding announcements along with other news. Right now we're waiting for Chinese food. We will be uploading more photos as time goes on.

For those of you who do not know one or both of us very well, here's a brief introduction:

We met when Erika came back from studying abroad in Italy. Sasha had recently replaced one of her three roommates in her old apartment on Cathedral Street. Erika quickly moved out and began dating Sasha not long after we met. We've been engaged since February and are looking forward to our Elvis wedding this summer. Enjoy!

Nas dvoje smo se upoznali kada se je Erika vratila nakon studiranja u Italiji. Sasa je zamenio jednog cimera u nasem starom apartmanu u ulici Cathedral St. Erika se ubrzo nakon toga iselila iz stana i pocela se zabavljati sa Sasom. Verili smo se proslog Februara i jedva cekamo da se vencamo u Las Vegasu, na kome ce prisustvovati sam Elvis.
